  • Theology and Steak?

    So what is Theology and Steak? It is a Jesus Christ-centered blog from a person whose heart is burdened more and more by a need to evangeize those actually in the church. The name came from my desire to teach simple meat and potatoes theology, and was born out of two things that have happened in my life: One was the frustration at many chuches, at least from my own experience, that are light on doctrine and theology and big on entertainment and felt needs. The second thing was a discovery of the doctrines of grace and the five solas of the Reformation. Scripture alone, grace alone, faith alone, Christ alone, and to the Glory of God alone. Much of this blog will come from my experiences, analyses, and thoughts. Please feel free to comment. Soli Deo Gloria

Resources

These are resources that I have created for my classes and sermons over the years. 

  • Teaching Notes on the book of Ruth:  This pdf file is the complete set of teaching notes and handouts I used for a sermon series on the book of Ruth.  I would love to expand this a little and turn it into a book.
  • Teaching Notes on the Book of Romans: This pdf file is the complete set of teaching notes and handouts I used for a sermon series on the book of Romans.  I would love to expand this a little and turn it into a book also.  Righ now, there are 12 lessons and it is only through the 4th chapter! 
  • Leadership from Jesus staff study: This is a pdf file of a short staff study on leadership using Jesus as our example.  So many leadership studies use business principles with a few Scripture verses sprinkled in.  I drew from the gospels themselves leadership as Jesus was doing it.  Still a little touchy-feely, but not bad.
